Claire Amias Vera Dolcette
In Detective Story, Claire Amias plays Vera Dolcette, a sexy and mysterious woman looking for the services of a dejected Jack Trowel.

Claire has just been shooting the film Lebensraum, playing Anne, (a psychologically complex character) and has recently been performing in Honest Hands' production of Romeo and Juliet at the Greenwich Playhouse, in which she played the role of Lady Capulet. The production was set in 1930s Italy, during Mussolini's rule. Praise for Claire's performance in the play includes this from 'UK Theatre Network': "very impressive performances, particularly by Claire Amias as Contessa Capulet..."
Claire has worked with Miranda Richardson, Aishwarya Rai, and Naveen Andrews in the feature film Provoked, which was on world-wide release in 2007.
She was also at the Cannes Film Festival last May; Claire played the role of Ms Conrad in the feature film Telling Lies (with Jason Flemyng and Melanie Brown),
The Short film she shot last year, "Circumcise This!" has just won a '"Best in Show" award at the Accolade Film Festival in the US, and was described as
"cutting-edge comedy...Fast moving, well-crafted and highly amusing. (2007)"
