Claire McCarthy Ginger Lemon

This was not the first time Claire McCarthy played the sexy nightclub singer Ginger Lemon. A few months before production rolled she read the part in a writers group. The seductive Femme Fatale is the most hazardous threat to Jack Trowel, at best she will only break his heart, but she doesn't plan to stop there.

Claire-Elizabeth trained to be actress at L.C.T.S in London and then was a member of The Actors' Company for their 2002 season where she played the lead 'Nora' in the West-End production of Ibsen's 'A Dolls House' for which she received rave reviews.

Claire-Elizabeth has worked mainly in the theatre. Since leaving drama school, she has performed in numerous London fringe productions and in 2005, was critically acclaimed for her performance of the role of ‘Donna’ in Berkoff’s ‘Kvetch’ at The Mansfield Palace Theatre.

In 2003 Claire-Elizabeth set up her own theatre company ‘The Actors’ Circle’.  She has both produced for and acted in several productions. Including the award-winning production of ‘New Boy’, which was a sell out at The Project Arts Centre, Dublin & The Greenwich Playhouse. The company have also produced successful shows at the Jermyn St theatre & Landor theatre in London and the Teachers Club & Liberty Hall in Dublin. In 2005 the company took a new comedy ‘Back to Your Roots’ to the Edinburgh Fringe where it was well received by both audiences and the press.

Claire's main profession at present is as singer and has been working in the music industry for over 10 years, regularly singing as a session singer for various studios and producers and she performs frequently throughout the UK and abroad with numerous bands and artists. She also fronts the up and coming rock band 'Short Skirtz' and co-runs the very successful function band 'Sing Out Sisters'.

Claire is also an avid Poker player and can be seen on SKY POKER'S 'The Club' every week.
