Matthew Jessee Writer / Director

If it only took money to make a film then things would be easy, the fact is it takes talent too. Matthew Jessee is not only the writer and director of Detective Story, but the editor as well... A Triple Threat.

Matthew Jessee is a writer/director/editor living in London. 'Detective Story' is his first short film since graduating from the London Film School in 2003. Over the last several years Matt has worked primarily as an editor and/or sound editor on horror features including 'London Voodoo', 'Nature Morte' and the forthcoming film 'Mindflesh'.

Matt graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Screenwriting in 1992. After graduating he spent eight years working for MTV Networks, primarily in Sales and Marketing.  He has written several feature scripts and is currently developing his sitcom 'Desperate'.
